Dave is out finishing his Christmas shopping for me. Which sucks, that crazy ass keeps deleting every website he goes to. Pisses me off. There is nothing fun about being surprised on Christmas. SURPRISE! Here's a bag of lace, or a bar of soap, or a maroon turtle neck a size to small. No thank you, I want to know what I am getting. I have unwrapped an rewrapped presents before, thus, the wrapped gift he has bought me is at his mother's house. What a load crap.
In the mean time, I may as well be his grandmother, because all I have bought him is a belt. LAME! I have no idea what to buy him. Dave's surprise this year may be "all you got for Christmas was a lame-ass belt, surprise!!!"
And I'm not in the Christmas spirit it was 78 degrees today! WTF?! It is December for crying out loud. I should not be able to sun bathe in December. Ever. Granted, Jesus was born in a desert, and that would make more since, but it isn't what they put in songs! No one sings about a Sand Storm Christmas. It is a White Christmas!
But my apartment is gorgeous and decorated top to bottom every room. Tristan's room has snowflakes hanging from the ceiling, with colored lights around the window, and a fiber optic 3 foot tree. Plus a reindeer that dances and sings (he loves it) and some nick nacks on the tv and windowsill.
The bathrooms have decorative towels and little decorative pieces on the sinks and backs of the toilets. The kitchen cabinets have lighted garland, the table (with my new chairs!!!) has red velvet placemats, a huge vase filled with red ornaments, and candle sticks. We have stockings, lights everywhere a gorgeous tree. And a lighted wreath on the door, a miniature tree inside the door, and on the balcony with have a 7 foot tree of clear lights and clear lighted garland. It looks fancy pants. And every balcony underneath me (I'm on the top floor) is also decorated with lights. Our building is the most spirited. Tristan still hasn't been over to see it. I can't wait until he does!
And I got 3 Christmas cards this year. Talking monkeys, I need your address to send you one. I know you like to get them! :-) |

I started a new position in the same company (I'm in business development now)
I'm planning the wedding (full time job)
Trying to keep up with all my household chores (cause it is just me right now...no help)
Trying to go home as much as I can
Go to Tech as much as I can for wedding planning
Had Tristan's preschool graduation, teaching him to ride a bike
Leading one of the network groups at work
In charge of the company's employee appreciation program
Still working in my old position at work as an engineer
Was a team leader for the company in the March of Dimes
Engagement party this weekend
Threw lingerie party for Blakelyn in Lynchburg, VA
Trying to be a good friend, aunt, daughter, granddaughter....
Trying to figure out how to pay for the wedding, honeymoon, regular bills
I'm exhausted. I haven't had tv since November...and I don't miss it. Mostly because I'm never home. I'm stressed, but I'll be glad to have all my friends celebrate with me. It's going to be a party. :-)

All I want is to win the lottery one time...the big one. I know money can't buy happiness, but it is a risk I will be willing to take. The burden of overabundance, I am willing to bear. I will find ways to occupy my time to not have idle hands, and I will be charitable....PLEASE GOD LET ME WIN THE LOTTERY SO I DONT HAVE TO SIT IN A CUBE ALL DAY CONTEMPLATING WAYS TO BE DECLARED MENTALLY UNSTABLE! PLEASE!

What a great couple of days!
A headhunter phoned after seeing my resume on CareerBuilders and asked to submit it to a medical device manufacturer in Greenwood, SC (about an hour south of Spartanburg-ie David). So I allowed it, turns out it is Tyco's medical division...talking_monkeys any advice?
Then I went to a dinner with the Michelin people who are interviewing candidates tomorrow (the interview I was turned down for). But got to talk with them and personally hand them my resume. The lady who has turned me down more than once was there, she recognized my name. Told me she had heard an excellent referral from David's dad and said if I couldn't get in to interview tomorrow, that at the very least she would have a phone interview for me. I really feel good about this. If I can interview, I think I can get the job. And I want the job.
Then I got a bonus from work $250 for that project I was working on. So in addition to the plexiglass number one I got MONEY!!! YAY!!
Yesterday I went into Bath and Bodyworks and got an amazing deal...buy 3 get one free, plus I had a coupon for free product, and body spray was half off. And they offered me a job. CRAZY. I am thinking about doing it. But I need to make sure I have the time. I don't want to devote myself to something and not be able to follow through.
So this weekend, I am going to use my bonus to buy my graduation dress, take Dave and I to a nice dinner, and get the lights for my car...I have a brake light, at least 1 fog light, a signal light, and side reflector light out. HAHA.
I laid in the tanning bed today for 8 minutes Kell, and I think its okay! I knew you would want the 411 on that. Yeah, I went there, I used "411". That's how good of a mood I am in.
I am going to work on my resume tonight so my brother can give it to Day and Zimmerman for their Greenville office openings!
WOOO-HOOOO!!!
I keep getting calls on my cell from an unknown number, but everytime I have been unable to answer cause of class or dinner tonight...I am hoping it is about a job.
On a serious note, please pray for my uncle. He has been very sick since before Christmas and goes for another surgery on Friday. He has had 2 or 3 already and has been in and out of the hospital for months, mostly in. |

Ground Rules: The first player of this "game" starts with the topic "5 weird habits of yours" and people who get tagged need to write an LJ entry about their 5 quirky habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 5 people to be tagged and list their names.
1.) I hate odd numbers, and refuse to eat an odd number of colors of M&Ms. 1 Blue on each side of my mouth, etc.
2.) I talk to myself all the time until I laugh out loud. I do this even at work. But my favorite is in the shower.
3.) I salt my pizza.
4.) I build a fort around me with pillows in order to go to sleep. 1 at my head two on either side, and one blocking the light from my alarm clock. And I can only sleep on my belly.
5.) I lose my breath, and at random times gasp to catch it. Probably something seriously wrong, but what I don't know won't...well it might, but I'm taking that chance. It freaks my friends out. |

One of my girls came up for the game! This is Rena, we've known each other since the first week of college. On November 12th, Blakelyn and I are heading up to DC for the weekend to hang out with this cool-ass chick! I am so white! And we were talking about wearing shorts during the summer, I said I like capris cause I'm always white, Rena responded with "You're white?!?! What? I swear I thought you were Indian and I was white!" She is such a goober.
And, of course, me and Mogs right after he got groomed. He's so pretty. |
